I’ve spent most of 2026 dealing with trigger thumb, eventually having surgery three weeks ago.
It started with a sore thumb. I tried icing it, only to have the pain laugh in my face. I was still convinced I’d just pulled it or something until I woke up with my thumb stuck in a bent angle. I forced it straight only to hear it click. Meanwhile, little to no writing was getting done, of course. It took a month to get an appointment, at which time the doctor told me I had trigger thumb and that she’d give me a steroid injection. Most people are fine after that injection. Given my history with “most people are fine with the first line of defense” treatments, a bubble of anxiety formed. But over a week or two the pain went away and I was able to return to working on Plunder (you haven’t heard that name in a while, have you?).
Better lasted three months. We repeated the injection, but I was warned that because it had came back that fast she wasn’t sure it would last. It lasted through a vacation a month later. I messaged her and we set up an appointment to discuss surgery. My oldest went to college this fall, so I postponed the surgery until after we moved them in mid-September.
I had a large bandage on my hand for two weeks. When they took it off a week ago I slowly have started typing again. So hopefully I can get back into the swing of things. The first 8 chapters (or 25%) of the new MM omegaverse version of Plunder are with my new editor. The goal is to get the book out next June, especially as I’ve purchased a table at a book convention in Salem, MA next August. Around 75% of Reindeer #3 is outlined but I can’t say if it will be 2027 or 2028 (more likely).
While I haven’t been overly active when it comes to long-form writing, however, you can find me on Social Media
I am most active on Threads, although I also have accounts on TikTok, Instagram, and a Facebook Page. If you like My Hero Academia or the Hellaverse you might like my work on Ao3.
On the upside, I have a new Author Photo, taken as part of a photoshoot for my husband’s 50th way.

Thanks, Hannah!
